NULC will be hosting a ‘Magic of Marketing’ schools event on
Wednesday 28 January in support of local company KMF’s Young Engineer of the
Year Project 2015.
Pupils will be attending from 17 local schools along with
sponsors from 18 different local, national and international companies
including Costa coffee, Michelin and Staffordshire University.
On the day Year 10 pupils will gain experience in key marketing
principles including sales pitching, promotion and networking. This will help
towards this year’s KMF Project where pupils are challenged to design, print
and pitch a gadget which provides a business solution, using 3D laser printers
to bring their gadgets to life.
Organiser Lucy Hancock, Schools Relationship Manager at
NULC, said: “We are delighted to be supporting KMF’s Young Engineer of the Year
Project again as it is a great way for pupils to work with employers and the
College supports this with the use of our fantastic facilities.”
Employers will be on hand to help prepare the Young Engineer
competitors for the semi-final on Thursday 12 March at Britannia Stadium before
they advance to the final round with Jason Bradbury from the Gadget Show
judging their entries in June.
